Why a Catholic Charities Donor Advised Fund?

Catholic Charities has been committed to serving people in need for over 100 years. A trusted charitable institution, it works across the country to alleviate, reduce and prevent poverty.

The CC DAF is an attractive alternative to other donor advised funds or community organizations because it provides you with the opportunity to support those charities and institutions that reflect the principles of Catholic social teaching. At the same time, it allows you to partner with the mission of Catholic Charities to reduce poverty and to assist people in achieving their full potential. Most importantly, it allows you to simplify and expand your charitable giving to those organizations that matter most to you.

CC DAF funds are invested in accord with socially responsible investment guidelines that serve the common good and the betterment of society.

How a Donor-Advised Fund Works

  1. Donations

A donor makes an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to the sponsoring charity of the DAF program.

  2. Investments

The donor works with a financial advisor to create a strategy to grow charitable assets.

  3. Grants

The donor recommends grants to qualified public charities.

For many of us, charitable giving is an act of our faith. As Catholics, we are taught to share the abundant blessing we have received from God with our brothers and sisters in need. If you are looking to assist in accomplishing the work of Catholic Social Teaching, opening a Donor-Advised Fund with CCUSA is one of the most effective options there is.

By creating a Catholic Charities Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) you will help sustain our mission to provide service to people in need, while beginning a legacy of your faith. The values and principles that guide you will make an impression on countless individuals and families most in need.
